Heat energy!


Learning Intention: We are learning to explain what heat is and the effects that it has on things around us.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I identify 6 key information about heat energy.

    Believe it or not, glass is made from liquid sand. You can make glass by heating ordinary sand (which is mostly made of silicon dioxide) until it melts and turns into a liquid. You won't find that happening on your local beach: sand melts at the incredibly high temperature of 1700°C
    This is pretty hot. Water for example boils at 100°C.
