Chicken By Oliver

Learning Intention:we are learning to write a report about the life of a chicken.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write a report about the life of a chicken using describing words.

A chicken is a bird, that can fly but people take their wing feathers off , so they wont fly away.

Chicks are baby chickens. Their feathers are yellow, and they  have lots of fluff.Chicks always follow their mum. They eat corn kernels , rice, and wormy things.

Roosters have red wattle by their neck. Roosters have  big red combs on their head. Roosters have very long colourful tails. Roosters can crow very loud to wake other farm animals.

Hens are female chicken. Hens have small red wattles  and combs. Hens lay eggs and roosters don't. Hens look after their eggs by sitting to warm them up. If the hen does not sit on her eggs they will die.

Chickens are funny and feathery farm animals.

Frog

LI WALT  write a report about the life cycle of a frog . Success criteria I know I am successful when I write a report about the life cycle of a frog.

Frogs are not insects they are amphibians.

A frog will lay eggs and they will become tadpoles.

Then their tails will grow longer then they start to grow hind legs.

Finally their tail disappears and they have big legs.

Frogs love to live in ponds.

They eat insects with their super long tongues.

Frogs can jump very high.
